  2. Election Authority Mobile Voter Registration Station

    St. Charles County residents will have opportunities to register to vote, update their voter records, and learn about paid election judge opportunities at several events in the community throughout October. The St. Charles County Election Authority is setting up mobile registration stations to reach more citizens and make these processes easier and more convenient. On Friday, Oct. 18, the Election Authority will be set up at the Jack-O-Glow Walk at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

    Child Care providers will learn methods to manage care of children with Asthma. Successful completion of this class will earn attendees 2 Clock Hour credits. You must register online at www.moworkshopcalendar.org prior to attendance. Per Missouri Department of Health guidelines, children, ages 16 and under, are not allowed to attend this training.

  2. Operation Sterile Feral (by appointment only)

    St. Charles County has operated a successful spay/neuter program for feral cats since 2003 and has treated thousands of animals to help control overpopulation. The Operation Sterile Feral program is run through the County's Pet Adoption Center and a team of volunteers. One Sunday each month, residents may bring feral cats from their property to take advantage of the affordable service.
    The $20 per animal fee includes alteration, vaccination for rabies and treatment for any parasites the cat may have.

  4. Adult, Child and Infant First Aid, CPR and AED Certification

    October 22, 2019, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM @ Public Health

    If someone stops breathing or their heart stops beating, immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can provide life-saving help until medical professionals arrive. To spread the knowledge for proper procedure, the Department of Public Health teaches certification in adult, child and infant CPR and First Aid, as well as instruction in the usage of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Upon successful completion of this one-day training, participants will receive an American Red Cross certification that is valid for up to two years. Class is limited to the first 20 registered participants.

  6. MRC Membership Meeting and Training

    In times of need, many lend their neighbors a helping hand. St. Charles County's Medical Reserve Corps is a volunteer-based unit or medically trained and non-medical professionals alike who put their knowledge and skills to use in helping our community. The Department of Public Health sponsors the local MRC unit. Monthly meetings are designed to prepare members for all-hazard emergencies. Discussions include the various roles within the County's emergency response plan, hands-on training opportunities and advanced certifications. Membership is open to any individual, ages 18 or older.
