Need assistance with jumpstarting your job search? Searching for employment is a job, within itself. It’s about maximizing your efficiency to help you connect with a new job as fast as possible. In this workshop, information will be shared about utilizing “Best Practices” for online job searches.

Statistics indicate the majority of jobs are never publicly advertised. In this workshop you will learn the fundamentals of how to network, create your own brand to promote yourself, informational interviewing, and an overview of how social media has impacted networking.

When do you disclose barriers to employment with an employer? Should you discuss it at all? How do you ask for accommodations, do you know what they are, and if you even need them? We can help you create an individualized plan to assist you in making these important decisions.

**Must be a veteran to attend. Attendees are expected to pre-register at least 2 weeks prior to attending. Veterans will receive a packet with Job posts of their preferred occupations. Veterans will be able to apply for jobs and receive guidance. In some cases, participants may be given directions to apply in person

Have an upcoming interview? Unsure how to prepare for it? Lacking direction on where to start? Interviews allow an employer to decide whether you are the right candidate for a vacant position. Learning more about the “art of the interview” increases your chance of getting hired for the position you desire. To impress an interviewer/hiring manager, it is important you know how to properly prepare for your interview(s). This workshop will provide participants with the experience to learn what skills are necessary in order to have a successful interview.
