SCCMO Public Health

  1. Low-Cost Spay or Neuter Program for Pets (by appointment only)

    June 6, 2019, All Day @ Pet Adoption Center

    To help pet owners in need of spay or neuter services for their dog or cat, the Division of Humane Services offers a Low-Cost program. The program includes the alteration surgery and a rabies vaccination (if needed). If the animal receives the rabies vaccination, the owner can purchase the County rabies tag for $5. Additional vaccinations may be available as well.

    To qualify, pet owners must:

    • Show proof of St. Charles County residency (government-issued identification or utility bill are accepted)
    • Make an advanced appointment by calling 636-949-7387.
    • Show proof of need.
    • Show proof of current rabies vaccination for each animal covered or update the animal's shot record at the time of the surgery.

  2. CLOCK HOUR CLASS - Active Shooter Preparation and Response Training

    June 6, 2019, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Public Health

    Open to St. Charles County-based child care providers this program will identify steps that should be taken in an active shooter incident. Led by St. Charles County SWAT members, the class will review effective strategies for thwarting an intruder and outline options to increase chances for surviving an active-shooter attack. Successful completion of this class will earn attendees 2 Clock Hour credits. You must register online at www.moworkshopcalendar.org prior to attendance. Per Missouri Department of Health guidelines, children, ages 16 and under, are not allowed to attend this training.
