  1. Low-Cost Spay or Neuter Program for Pets (by appointment only)

    September 9, 2019, All Day @ Pet Adoption Center

    To help pet owners in need of spay or neuter services for their dog or cat, the Division of Humane Services offers a Low-Cost program. The program includes the alteration surgery and a rabies vaccination (if needed). If the animal receives the rabies vaccination, the owner can purchase the County rabies tag for $5. Additional vaccinations may be available as well.

    To qualify, pet owners must:

    • Show proof of St. Charles County residency (government-issued identification or utility bill are accepted)
    • Make an advanced appointment by calling 636-949-7387.
    • Show proof of need.
    • Show proof of current rabies vaccination for each animal covered or update the animal's shot record at the time of the surgery.

    These FREE opportunities invite mothers to measure their baby's weight, network with other breastfeeding moms and consult with peer counselors on breastfeeding tips. Staff will also answer questions and offer support on nutrition, child behavior and more.
